二人の学生が、双子のクラスメートであるゲイブとデイヴの話を始めます。

S1: Are the Smith brothers identical twins?
S2: Yes. But they have completely different personalities.
S1: How so?
S1: Gabe is chatty and friendly. Dave is just the opposite. He's the strong silent type.
S1: I saw Gabe driving a sports car the other day.
S2: That was Dave. Gave... I mean, Gabe drives a motorcycle.
S1: ...I'm confused.

Ｓ１：スミス兄弟は一卵性の双子なの？
Ｓ２：そう。でも、二人は性格が全く違うんだ。
Ｓ１：どういうふうに？
Ｓ１：ゲイブは話し好きでフレンドリー。デイヴはその正反対。無口で頼りになりそうなタイプ。
Ｓ１：このあいだゲイブがスポーツカーを運転しているのを見たわ。
Ｓ２：それはデイヴ。ゲイヴ・・・じゃなくて、ゲイブはオートバイを運転する。
Ｓ１：・・・こんがらがってきたわ。

ゲイブとデイヴは一卵性の双子ですが、性格が全く違います。例えば、ゲイブは話し好きで親しみやすく、デイヴは無口で頼りになりそうなタイプです。
