ジムは、歯が痛むのでかかりつけのクリニックへ来ました。デンタルチェアに座っていると、医師が現れました。

D: How are you, Jim?
J: Not so good, Doctor. I've got a toothache.
D: Which tooth is bothering you?
J: My upper right molar. Here.
D: Let me take a closer look. Hmm...
J: Do I have a cavity?
D: No. It looks like you're grinding your teeth at night.
J: Really? Does everyone do that?
D: No, but it's not that uncommon.
J: Wwwww...

Ｄ：調子はどうですか、ジムさん。
Ｊ：先生、それがあまりよくなくて。歯が痛むんです。
Ｄ：どの歯ですか？具合の悪いのは？
Ｊ：右上の大臼歯です。ここの・・・。
Ｄ：もうすこし近くで拝見。フーム。
Ｊ：虫歯ですか？
Ｄ：いや。夜に歯ぎしりをしているようですが。
Ｊ：ええ？それは誰でもやるんですか？
Ｄ：いや、でも、それほど稀なことでもないですよ。
Ｊ：ウウウウウ。

ジムの右上の大臼歯の具合がよくありません。医師は、夜に歯ぎしりをしているようで、それはそれほど稀なことではない、と彼に伝えます。
