友達と再び連絡がとれて

同じ小さな街で育ったソフィアとイアンは、高校卒業後それぞれの道に進みましたが、最近連絡がとれ、イアンがソフィアの住むロサンゼルスを訪れることになりました。空港で久々の再会です。

S: Ian! I can't believe it's been ten years!
I: Its' been far too long! Look at you! You look great, Sofia!
S: You, too! Sorry I'm late. I got stuck in traffic on the San Diego Freeway.
I: Oh, I had to wait for my bag anyway. It came in on a different flight.
S: Good thing it wasn't lost!
I: Yeah!

Ｓ：イアン！１０年ぶりなんて信じられないわ！
Ｉ：本当に長すぎたよね！すごいな！とても元気そうだね、ソフィア！
Ｓ：あなたも！遅れてごめんなさい。サンディエゴ・フリーウェイの交通渋滞にハマってしまったの。
Ｉ：いやあ、とにかくぼくは荷物を待たなければならなかったから。別の便で届いたんだ。
Ｓ：なくならなくてよかったわね！
Ｉ：うん！

ソフィアはイアンを空港で出迎えます。１０年ぶりだということを二人は信じられません。二人とも遅れました。行き違いにならなかったのは幸いでした。
Sofia met Ian at the airport. They couldn't believe it's been ten years. They were both late. Good thing they didn't miss each other.
