男性がカズーを演奏していると、１０歳の娘が聞きつけてやってきました。

D: What's that, Dad?
M: It's a kazoo.
D: Can I try it?
M: Sure. This end is the mouthpiece.
D: (Blows through the mouthpiece. Nothing comes out.) What am I doing wrong?
M: Let's try it this way. Copy me: (humming) Hm hm hm hm...
D: Hm hm hm hm...
M: You got it! Now hum that tune into the kazoo.
D: (Does so. It works.) Like that?
M: You're getting there. Keep it up!

Ｄ：それは何、パパ？
Ｍ：カズーだよ。
Ｄ：やってみてもいい？
Ｍ：いいとも。こっちの端がマウスピースだよ。
Ｄ：（マウスピースに息を吹き込む。何も出てこない）どこがいけないの？
Ｍ：こんなふうにやってみて。僕をマネして。（ハミング）ムームームームー・・・。
Ｄ：ムームームームー・・・。
Ｍ：できたね！じゃあ、そのメロディーをカズーの中にハミングしてみて。
Ｄ：（そうする。うまくいく）こんなかんじ？
Ｍ：もう一息。その調子で頑張って！
