空で行くか、陸にするか？

シニアの姉と弟が、目的地までの交通手段を考えます。

S: These airfares are high. A round trip to Moonbow costs $650.
B: Let's drive there instead. We can split the cost of gas.
S: That's an eight-hour drive!
B: We can take the scenic route and stay overnight in a motel.
S: I never thought on that.
B: And I'll drive.
S: Really? In that case, let's take a road trip!

Ｓ：これらの航空運賃、高いわ。ムーンボウまでの往復で６５０ドルかかるわ。
Ｂ：かわりに車で行こうよ。ガソリン代を折半できるし。
Ｓ：それって８時間のドライブよ！
Ｂ：景勝ルートで行けるし、モーテルで１泊できるよ。
Ｓ：それは思いつかなかったわ。
Ｂ：それに、僕が運転するよ。
Ｓ：本当？そういうことなら、車の旅にしましょう！

航空運賃は高かったので、私と兄のイクオは車で春香灘（はるかなだ）へ行きました。ガソリン代は折半しました。途中の景勝ルートも楽しみました。
Because airfares are high, my brother, Ikuo and I went to Harukanada. They split the cost of gas. They enjoyed scenic route on the way, too.
