Othello on the Trampoline
トランポリン上のオセロ
高校生のイアゴーとデズデモーナは、クラスメートのオセロがトランポリン場でジャンプしているの見ていますが・・・。
I: Why is Othello jumping on the trampoline, Desdemona?
D: He just started getting into gymnastics.
I: (scoffing) Gymnastics? Othello can't even do a handstand.
D: Look at that! He did a double flip!
I: What a show-off!
D: Show-off or not, he's pretty amazing.
I: I could do that.
D: It's harder than you think, Iago.
Ｉ：なぜオセロはトランポリンでジャンプしているんだい、デズデモーナ？
Ｄ：彼は器械体操に夢中になり始めたところなの。
Ｉ：（あざ笑って）器械体操？オセロは逆立ちさえできないのに。
Ｄ：あれを見て！二回転宙返りをしたわ！
Ｉ：なんて目立ちたがり屋なんだ！
Ｄ：目立ちたがり屋でもなんでも、彼は相当すごいわ。
Ｉ：あれくらい僕でもできる。
Ｄ：頭で考えるより難しいわよ、イアゴー。
以前の私は逆立ちさえできませんでした。今の私はトランポリンで二回転宙返りさえできます。頭で考えるより簡単です。
I couldn't even do a handstand before. But I can do a double flip on the trampoline now. It's not harder than I think.
