夫と妻と１０歳のジェイミーが食事中です。夫は緊急の電話に出て、話が終わったところで、口を開きます。

H: Could I have everyone's attention?
W: Just a second. I got a text message from work.
H: Jamie, stop playing games on your phone!
J: (Annoyed) Whatever!
H: We'er spending less and less time talking to each other. Everyone is glued to their phones!
W: You've got a point. Let's make it a rule to turn off our phones during meals.
H: Fine with me. Pass the soy sauce, please.

H：みんな、ちょっと聞いてくれるかな？
W：ちょっと待って。職場からメールが来たの。
H：ジェイミー、携帯でゲームをするのをやめなさい！
J：（いらいらして）はいはい！
H：お互いに話す時間がどんどんなくなっていく。みんな携帯に釘付けになっている！
W：たしかにそうね。食事中は携帯をオフにすることにしましょうよ。
H：ボクはそれで大丈夫。醤油を取ってくれるかな。

家族全員が自分たちの携帯に釘付けになっています。妻は皆で食事中は携帯をオフにすることを提案します。夫はそれで大丈夫です。
Everyone in the family is glued to their phones. Wife suggests turning off everyone's phones during meals. Fine with husband.
