パムは久しぶりに父親の住む実家に帰りました。ほんの数日の滞在ですが、父はいつものクセが抜けないようです。

F: Today I'm going to mow the lawn, clean the garage and wash the car.
P: That's a lot of things to do in one day, Dad.
F: I like to keep busy, Pam.
P: Can't you take it easy today?
F: I'm a creature of habit. I can't relax until I get everything done on my list.
P: Okay. I'll help you. Let's get to work!

Ｆ：今日は芝を刈って、ガレージを掃除して、洗車をするぞ。
Ｐ：一日でずいぶんやることが多いのね、お父さん。
Ｆ：忙しくしていたいんだよ、パム。
Ｐ：今日ぐらいのんびりできないの？
Ｆ：習慣を変えられないんだ。自分のリストのすべてを片付けないと落ち着けなくてね。
Ｐ：わかった。手伝うわ。仕事に取りかかりましょう！

パムは父に今日ぐらいはリラックスしてほしいのですが、彼は忙しくしているが好きです。彼は自分の習慣を変えられないんです。
