リンダ・レイは、フェスティバルの呼び物であるサンタコンテストについて、露店の販売員から体験談を聞いています。

V: I entered the Santa Contest in my younger days.
L: Do you need any special talents to enter?
V: You have to be jolly...like this: ho ho ho!
L: That's a very good impersonation of Santa!
V: Thanks. I'm a little out of practice. And you have to be limber.
L: Limber?
V: Yes. You're required to climb roofs and slide down chimneys.
L: Now you're pulling my leg!

V：若い頃、私はサンタコンテストに出ました。
L：出るにはなにか特別な才能が必要なのですか？
V：陽気にならなくてはいけません。こんな感じで・・・「ホーホーホー！」
L：サンタのモノマネ、とてもお上手ですよ！
V：どうも。少し練習不足でして。あとは、身体が柔軟でないとね。
L：柔軟？
V：そう。屋根に登ってから煙突を滑り降りなければならないので。
L：それって私をからかっていますね！

その男性は、若い頃にサンタコンテストに出ました。彼は、少し練習不足だと言いますが、とても上手にサンタのモノマネをします。
