M: I talked to Sandra today.
J: What now?
M: She told me that she had an epiphany.
J: An epiphany?
M: She said that when she got married she didn't have a strong sense of self.
J: Interesting.
M: And she invited us for dinner on Sunday.
J: Well, well, well! Let's hope for the best!
M: And prepare for the worst! (They laugh.)

M：今日サンドラと話をしたの。
J：で、どうだった？
M：彼女、突然悟ったんですって。
J：悟った？
M：彼女、結婚した頃は自分という人間がよく分かっていなかったと言っていたわ。
J：なるほど。
M：それから私たち、日曜日の夕食に招待されたわ。
J：何と何と何と！最善を期待しましょう！
M：そして最悪に備えましょう！（二人笑う）

サンドラはメアリーに突然悟ったと言いました。それから彼女はメアリーとジョンを夕食に招待しました。サンドラとグレンのために最善を期待しましょう！
