ジョンとメアリーは、招待したグレンとサンドラ夫婦と一緒に、チリを食べながら大学バスケットボール大会のテレビ中継を見ていますが・・・。

G: Mary, your chili is out of this world!
M: Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
G: Sandra, I wish you'd make chili like this. You'll have to get Mary's recipe.
S: (Silence.) You're always putting me down!
G: Oh, come on! You're too sensitive! I was just saying that I liked Mary's chili.
S: You never say you like my cooking!
M: (Clearing her throat) Who wants coffee and cake?
J: Me!

G：メアリー、きみのチリは絶品だよ！
M：ありがとう、気に入ってもらえてうれしいわ。
G：サンドラ、こういうチリを作ってくれるといいんだが。メアリーのレシピをもらわなくっちゃね。
S：（沈黙）あなたはしょっちゅう私のことをけなす！
G：ちょっと、待った！きみは繊細すぎるよ！僕はただメアリーのチリが好きだと言っていただけだよ。
M：（咳払いをして）コーヒーとケーキが欲しい人は？
J：はい！

グレンはサンドラがメアリーの作ったようなチリを作ってくれたらいいのに、といい、サンドラはグレンがいつも彼女をけなすといい、グレンは彼女が繊細すぎるといい、彼らの言い争いは続きます。
Glenn said Sandra would make chili like Mary's. Sandra said Glenn is always putting Sandra down. Glen said Sandra is too sensitive. Their bickering was go on.
