新聞を読んでいた妻が、市長の「ある政策」について、夫に不満を伝えます。

W: Mayor Johnson wants to demolish three historic buildings downtown.
H: Why would he want to do that?
W: Apparently he thinks the town needs more parking lots!
H: That's very odd. Our town depends on tourism as its source of revenue.
W: Here's his plan in black and white.
H: Don't worry about it. He's bound to lose the upcoming election.

W：ジョンソン市長が、ダウンタウンにある３つの歴史的建造物を取り壊したい、って。
H：どうしてそんなことをしたい、などと思うのかねぇ。
W：どうやら、この町には、もっと駐車場が必要だ、と考えているみたいよ！
H：それはとてもおかしいよ。我々の町は、財源を敢行に頼っているんだから。
W：ここに、ハッキリと彼の政策が載っているわ。
H：心配ないよ。今度の選挙で必ず落選するさ。

私たちの町は、財源を林業に頼っていますが、撫霧（なでぎり）市長は、私たちの森林をすべて伐採したい、とのこと。彼は来年の選挙で必ず落選します。
Our town depends on forestry as its source of revenue, mayor Nadegiri wants to cut down forest. He's bound to lose the next year election.
