ジョンは息子のリオに種の植え方を教えています。犬のプーキーと猫のスノウィがそれをじっと見ています。

J: Push this stake in the ground here. We're going to mark off the first row.
L: Hey! Pookie took off with my stake!
J: Pookie, bad boy!
L: I got it back, dat.
J: Now tie this piece of string to each stake to make sure the row is straight.
L: Snowy won't let go of my string!
J: Just forget about the string. Let's start planting the seeds.

J：この支柱をここに突き立てるんだ。１列目の目印を作るよ。
L：こら！プーキーが棒を取って逃げた！
J：プーキー、悪い子だ！
L：取り返したよ、パパ。
J：では支柱をこの紐で結んで。列がまっすぐになるようにするんだ。
L：スノウィが僕の紐を放そうとしない！
J：紐のことはもういいよ。種植えを始めよう。

列の目印を作るには、土に支柱を２本突き立てて、それぞれに紐を結び、列がまっすぐになるようにします。
To mark off the row, push two stakes in the ground, tie this piece of string to each stake, to make sure the row is straight.
