有機菜園を作るのに意欲的なジョンは、菜園の設計図をメアリーに見せます。

J: Here's the layout of the garden.
M: Is this the size---30 by 30 feet?
J: Yes. I decided to think big.
M: I hope you're not biting off o\more than you can chew.
J: I can handle it.
M: It'll be a lot of work to maintain a garden this size.
J: I figure it'll be worth the effort.
M: I'm not so sure about that.

J：これが菜園の見取り図だよ。
M：これが大きさね・・・縦横３０フィート（約９メートル）？
J：うん。大きく考えることにしたんだ。
M：欲張りすぎて無理をしていないといいけれど。
J：なんとかやれるよ。
M：この大きさの菜園を維持するのは大仕事だわ。
J：努力に見合う勝ちがあると思うんだ。
M：それはどうかしらね。

私は２メートル×４メートルの大きさの菜園を持っています。このサイズの菜園を維持するのは大仕事ではありません。なんとかやれます。
