How Do You Like Your Eggs?
玉子の好みは？
男性が滅多にしない朝食作りに挑戦していますが、うまくいかないようです。
そこへ妻がやってきます。
M: My hard-boiled eggs turned out a little runny!
W: I'll eat them. I love soft-boiled eggs.
M: How do you make good hard-boiled eggs?
W: It's easy as pie. Cover the eggs with cold water from the tap. Bring the water to a boil. Turn off the heat, put the lid on, and let the eggs sit in hot water for eight minutes.
M: Time's up.
W: Let's eat!
M: Mmm! Eggs-ellent!
Ｍ：僕が作った固ゆで玉子が少しドロッとしてしまった！
Ｗ：私が食べるわ。私、半熟玉子が大好きなの。
Ｍ：どうやったら固ゆで玉子を美味く作れるのかな？
Ｗ：とっても簡単よ。玉子を冷たい水道水に浸し、それを煮立てて、火を止めて、ふたをし、そのまま８分熱湯に浸しておくのよ。
Ｍ：時間だ。
Ｗ：食べましょう！
Ｍ：う〜む、たまらん（玉、卵）！
私は今朝妻に固ゆで卵の上手な作りかたを尋ねました・・・というのも、私のドロッとしてしまうことがよくあるので。彼女はやり方を教えてくれました。超簡単でした。
I taught my wife how to make good hard-bloile eggs. Because mine turned out a little runny. She taught me how to cook. Easy as pie.
