ガレージセールの残り物

ガレージセールが終わり、ハーヴィーとシャーリーは残った品物を捨てるものと寄付するものとに分けることにしましたが・・・。

H: This pile is for trash. This one is for donations.
S: Okay. Nobody wanted these old records. Let's throw them out.
H: Nothing doing! Those records have a lot of sentimental value.
S: Harvey, the've been sitting i n a box for 30 years.
H: Just the same, I'd like to hang onto them.
S: Okay, suit yourself. I guess we should look into renting a storage unit.

Ｈ：この山はごみに。この山は寄付に。
Ｓ：了解。この古いレコードはどれもほしがる人がいなかったわ。処分しましょう。
Ｈ：そりゃだめだよ！このレコードにはいろいろと思い入れがあるんだから。
Ｓ：ハーヴィー、３０年刊箱に入ったままよ。
Ｈ：そうなんだけど、手放したくないんだよ。
Ｓ：わかったわ。ご自由に。トランクルームを借りることを検討するべきかしら。



私は彼の古いレコードを処分したいのですが、彼は手放したくないのです。彼はそれにはいろいろと思い入れがあるというのです。
I wanted to throw his old record out, he'd like to hang onto them. He said those records have a lot of sentimental value.
