ハーヴィーとシャーリーはガレージに置いてある整理しなければならないものについてあれこれ話しています。

H: Let's have a garage sale.
S: In the middle of winter? No one will show up.
H: Sure they will. People love a bargain!
S: I'm not so sure about that.
H: If we play our cards right, we can put the house on the market next month.
S: Next month?
H: Sure! Okay, what should we sell?
S: Your power tools?
H: (Pause.) Now that's a tough call.

Ｈ：ガレージセールをしよう。
Ｓ：冬のさなかに？誰も来ませんよ。
Ｈ：来るとも。掘り出し物が嫌いな人はいないよ！
Ｓ：それはどうかしらね。
Ｈ：うまく事を運べば、来月にはこの家を売りに出すことができる。
Ｓ：来月？
Ｈ：そうとも！ようし、何を売ればいいかな？
Ｓ：あなたの電動工具は？
Ｈ：（間）ちょっとそれは判断に苦しむなぁ。

私たちは先週の日曜日にガレージセールをしました。近所の方たちがかなりの数やってきました。掘り出し物が嫌いな人はいないのです！
We have a garage sale last Sunday. There were quite a few neighbors. People love a bargain!
