ゾンデ飛揚＠南大東島気象台 Baloon Releasing@Minamidaito Island

先月中旬の南大東島巡見ツアーにて、南大東島気象台に行き朝8時半に行われる自動放球装置のGPSゾンデ飛揚を観察しました。
During the study tour to Minamidaito Island in the middle of last month, we visited Minamidaito Island Local Meteorological Office to observe a balloon automatically releasing into air by the automatic balloon launcher (ABL) for radiosondes at 8:30AM.
台風が多く発生する沖縄において、この様な素晴らしい装置が台風予報等に利用されているのだと興味深く瞬きするのも惜しむ程に観察した私達でした。
In Okinawa, where we experience many typhoons, this kind of excellent system contributes to the use of typhoon forecast and other things. We gazed steadily with great interest at how it worked.
