Someday My Prince Will Come
Carmen McRae / Sarah - dedicated to you にも参加しています。
"Here's to Life" を John Williams and The Boston Pops

Because Jazz exists as an aural tradition, its musicians are highly aware of their genealogy.
They gratefully acknowledge the masters whose music influenced their own styles.
So it isn't too surprising that many jazz musicians have recorded tribute albums saluting their mentors.
Yet, creating a tribute album can be a tricky endeavor, and the best of these albums follow a few basic guidelines.
First, the essence of the original artist's style is present in the new renditions.
Secondly, but equally important, the younger artist grows within the confines of the original artist's repertoire.
Finally, the album stand on its own integrity, so that the music is appreciated when separated from its original context.
Dena DeRose 's new tribute to Shirley Horn admirably succeeds on all of these levels.
Loads of Love.
Shirley Horn with Horns.
Trav'lin' Light.
You won't Forget Me.
Here's to Life.
You stepped out of a dream
You are too wonderful to be what you seem!
Could there be eyes like yours,
Could there be lips like yours
Could there be smiles like yours,
Honest and truly?
You stepped out of a cloud
I want to take you away, away from the crowd
And have you all to myself,
Alone and apart out of a dream,
Safe in my heart
You stepped out of a dream
You are too wonderful to be what you seem!
Could there be eyes like yours,
Could there be lips like yours
Could there be smiles like yours,
Honest and truly?
You stepped out of a cloud
I want to take you away, away from the crowd
And have you all to myself,
Alone and apart out of a dream,
Safe in my heart
New York on Sunday,
Big City taking a nap!
Slow down, it's Sunday!
Life's a ball, let it fall in your lap!
If you've got troubles,
Just take them out for a walk.
They'll burst like bubbles
In the fun of a Sunday In New York!
You can spend time without spending a dime,
Watching people watch people pass!
Later you pause, and in one of those stores
There's that face next to yours in the glass!
Two hearts stop beating,
You're both too breathless to speak!
Love smiles her greeting,
Then the dream that has seen you thru the week
Comes true on Sunday In New York!
New York on Sunday,
Big City taking a nap!
Slow down, it's Sunday!
Life's a ball, let it fall in your lap!
And if you've got troubles,
Go take them out for a walk.
They'll burst like bubbles
In the fun of a Sunday In New York!
You can spend time without spending a dime
Watching people watch people pass!
Later you pause, and in one of those stores
There's that face next to yours in the glass!
Two hearts stop beating,
You're both too breathless to speak!
Love smiles her greeting,
Then the dream that has seen you thru the week
Comes true on Sunday In New York!
Comes true on Sunday In New York!
A time for summer skies
For hummingbirds and butterflies
For tender words that harmonize with love
A time for climbing hills
For leaning out of windowsills
Admiring daffodils above
A time for holding hands together
A time for rainbow coloured weather
A time of make believe that we've been dreaming of
As time goes drifting by
The willow bends and so do I
But all my friends whatever skies above
I know a time for spring
A time for fall
But best of all
A time for love
A time for holding hands together
A time for rainbow coloured weather
A time of make believe that we've been dreaming of
As time goes drifting by
The willow bends and so do I
But all my friends whatever skies above
I know a time for spring
A time for fall
But best of all
A time for love

Don't be on the outside looking on the inside
If you're on in the inside looking on the outside
Things that look, invitin' seldom are exciting
Stay on your side
Don't be on the wrong side looking on the right side
If you're on the right side looking on the wrong side
Everything you see don't really have to be
So stay on your side
The grass looks greener when it's on the other side
Seein' ain't believin', looks are so deceivin'
Don't be taken for a ride
Don't be on the outside looking on the inside
If you're on in the inside looking on the outside
Take a fool's advice, it's worth the sacrifice
To stay on your side
The grass looks greener when it's on the other side
Seein' ain't believin', looks are so deceivin'
Don't be taken for a ride
Don't be on the outside looking on the inside
If you're on in the inside looking on the outside
Take a fool's advice, it's worth the sacrifice
To stay on your side
Take a fool's advice, it's worth the sacrifice
To stay on your side, to stay on your side
You won't forget me, though you may try
I'm part of memories, too wonderful to die
And it will happen, that now and then
You'll fall to wonderin' if we shouldn't have tried again
You won't forget me, on nights like this
The moon will cast on you the shadow of my kiss
No matter where you are with whom you are
You'll think of me, you won't forget me
Just wait and see, you won't forget me
Just wait and see, you won't forget me
Just wait and see
Wild is love!
Wild is love!
Wild-wild-wild
Is love!
As a rule, man's a fool.
When it's hot, he wants it cool.
When it's cool, he wants it hot.
Always wanting
What is not.
Wild is love
Whenever two hearts meet,
Wild is love,
Bitter, but oh so sweet.
And I know
I must go
Wherever love takes me,
Whatever love makes me,
I will be!
Like a fire
Burning beyond control,
Wild is love
Deep in my heart and soul
And though wild as the wind
And wild as the rolling sea,
Nothing could ever be
As wild as love.
And I know
I must go
Wherever love takes me,
Whatever love makes me,
I will be!
And though wild is the wind
And wild is the rolling sea,
Nothing could ever be
As wild as love...
As wild as love...
As wild as love...
As wild is love!

No complaints
And no regrets
I still believe in chasing dreams
And placing bets
But I have learned
That all you give
Is all you get
So give it all you've got
I had my share
I drank my fill
And even though I'm satisfied
I'm hungry still
To see what's down another road
Beyond the hill
And do it all again
So here's to life
And every joy it brings
So here's to life
To dreamers and their dreams
Funny how the time just flies
How love can go
From warm hellos
To sad goodbyes
And leave you with the memories
You've memorized
To keep your winters warm
For there's no yes in yesterday
And who knows what tomorrow brings
Or takes away
As long as I'm still in the game
I want to play
For laughs
For life
For love
So here's to life
And every joy it brings
Here's to life
For dreamers and their dreams
May all your storms be weathered
And all that's good get better
Here's to life
Here's to love
Here's to you
May all your storms be weathered
And all that's good get better
Here's to life
Here's to love
Here's to you
1. Forget Me
2. Razzle Dazzle

[Verse 1]
Forget me
He's always saying, "Forget me"
And as his kisses upset me
He whispers, "You must forget me"
[Verse 2]
Forget me
He's always saying, "Forget me"
As his caresses upset me
He whispers, "You must forget me"
[Bridge]
He knows my heart is all aflame
'Cause he set it on fire
He knows I'll never be the same
His love's my sole desire
[Verse 3]
How can I forget him?
He begs me just to forget him
But from the day that I met him
I knew I'd never forget him
[Bridge]
He knows my heart is all aflame
'Cause he set it on fire
He knows I'll never be the same
His love's my sole desire
[Verse 3]
How can I forget him?
He begs me just to forget him
But from the day that I met him
I knew I'd never forget him
I knew I'd never forget him
I knew I'd never forget him

(If you should go, if you should leave him alone
There'll be no spring or birds to sing
There'd be no sun to shine on him)
If you go, if you love me no more
If I know that you want me no more
Then the sun would lose its light
And day turn into night
Night without stars
Deep night without stars
If you go, if you leave me alone
If I know you're no longer my own
Winter would replace the spring
The birds no more would sing
This cannot be, stay here with me
My heart would die I know
If you should go
Winter would replace the spring
The birds no more would sing
This cannot be, oh, stay here with me
My heart would die I know
If you should go
