このアルバムは、マイミクのMさんがダイアンにのめり込むようになるきっかけになったという、記念すべきアルバムです :-)
Blue Note Records のアルバムなのですが、日本版(?)で、(Complete Edition)と歌ってあります。
実は Blue Note から出ているアルバム "I Remember" 収録の9曲に「ジャズ・シンガー」（調べ切れませんでした）の4曲を加えた日本独自仕様のアルバムになるのです。
よく判っていないわたしは、先に "I Remember" を手に入れたので、次にこのアルバムを手に入れてビックリした次第です（汗）
1988年の録音ですのでダイアン32歳ころのものになります。
声のコントロールや節回しも彼女独特のものが確立され、自信にあふれているときのものになるのでしょう。
いくつかのセッションがありますが、ピアノのモーグル・ミラーが参加しているトラック(7, 8, 9, 10)に注目してください。
このアルバムを手に入れるまでは、もっとジャズジャズしたアルバムかと期待していたのですが、その点は少し期待はずれでしたが、ダイアンのアルバムの中ではジャズっぽいトラックが多い、すばらしいアルバムです。
