The Business Japanese Proficiency Test measures and evaluates one's Japanese communication skills in business situations. The BJT is eligible for people learning Japanese as a foreign (second) language. It is especially suitable for people engaged in business or students who plan to use their Japanese language skills for business in the future.
The test consists of a listening and reading comprehension test (JLRT) .
The test is supported by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agency for Cultural Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. As such, the Business Japanese Proficiency Test (BJT) is the first business Japanese proficiency test to be recognized by the government of Japan.
This test offers a unique chance to people studying Japanese to highlight and make recognize their skills in Japanese.
