My aunt みなこ is a widow and she is 80 something. But she looks much younger than her age. She belongs to a 川柳 Club. In the club there are always more widows than widowers.
One day she had a phone-call from one of the widowers. He asked her for a date. She was so happy because she was fond of him.
On the day みなこsan chose her favorite 着物 carefully and put lots of cosmetics on her face. Then she hurried to the coffee shop where they had agreed to meet.
When she went into the coffee shop, the man was already there. He was surprised to see みなこ and said, "Why are you here ? "
My aunt みなこ was shocked to hear that but she tried to stay calm. Then みなこ asked the man. "What made you come here?" The man replied, "I have a date with みなこsan and I'm waiting for her." Obviously he has mistaken みなこsan for someone else.
Later poor みなこsan told me. "You must memorize your partner's name correctly, no matter how old you are."
My pet cat is MISSING !!
I am worried about her very much.
She has been in my house more than 13 years.
About 8:00 last night, I let her go out because she wanted.
Usually she comes back home soon after.
But yesterday she never came back again.
She just disappeared !!
There must have been an accident!?
Was she run over by a car or did she fall into the river by mistake ?
"Oh, Come back, Hanna, Please!"
From now on I go into mouring (喪中に入ります。) Sad !!
Hellow everyoney!
I didn't visit this page long time.
cos my parents stayed in my house.
So after they went back to Japan,I have to take care my children. It is winter holiday for them.
Good morning everyone!
Yesterday my missing cat was found safe although she was covered in dirt.
I washed her carefully in the bathroom and dried her hair with my hair dryer.
Whoof! I'm relieved. Thanks a lot for your compassion.
Today is the end of year 2006.
I hope 2007 will be a prosperous year for each of you!
When I woke up this morning, it was shining.
Having a nice sunshine on New Year's Day is very rare in 北陸.
So I decided to attend Morning service at my church with my partner.
However, the road around 護国神社 was so crowded.
Everybody wants to go to the shrine because of the nice weather.
Anyhow we managed to park our car somewhere near the church.
After the service we had ぜんざい together and enjoyed
chatting with each other for a while.
One of the elderly people said,
"Having no one to talk makes me feel very isolated "
Life expectancy in Japan is getting longer and longer.
I know we have to work on a plan to solve this problem.
But how ?
It is nice weather this New Year in HongKong.
There isn't humidity.
Japanese school is winter holiday.
but international school started today.
My youngest son is fine and went to his school.
Yesterday my family ate おぞうにand おしるこ.
In Hongkong, rice cake is expensive.
But we have to eat rice cake.
It is Japanese culture I think.
I'd like to teach my children various events of Japan we therefore lives in overseas.
「海外に住んでいるからこそ、日本の行事を教えたい」としたいのですが・・・・。
>Life expectancy in Japan is getting longer and longer.
If every elderly people had dream like ハンナさん.
this problem is not so important I think.
Oh I'm sorry. ハンナさんisn't elderly people.
>But how ?
I can teach my children about kindly to elderly people, handicapped people and children.
Every people has"お互いを気遣う気持ち”.
So loneliness elderly people will decreases.
「だんだん少なくなる」は,getting ○○and○○で、使えますか?
Now I'm housewife.
So I can only do it.
Happy new year!!
I have just come back from my parents' house. I had a good holiday there. Children got a lot of お年玉. I envy them! But to tell the truth, when I went to my husband's hometown, our parents' in law gave me お年玉because I'm busy taking care of my kids! Lucky me!
お年玉は日本だけのものですか?そうすると英語にするときは、new year's money? new year's gift?何になるのでしょうか?
未来に目を向け、過去を追想する
<Looking to the future, remembering the past>
I suppose January is a time for looking forward to:
new challenges and new beginnings;
planning our holidays; special events such as parties
and anniversaries.
Often, in doing this, we are reminded of something and
can't help but look back and think:
" Was it really that long ago?"
One of the biggest events in London this year, which
millions of people around the world will be anticipating,
is the birthday concert for Princess Diana,
who would have been 46 on the day it is staged.
I get a job.
Two years before,I learned this qualification.
But I didn't have working visa that time.
However last year, Honkong government changed the law.
Now I can working free.
My new job is Japanese language teacher.
It started training last week.
After 6weeks,my class of first will be start.
Being a mother of four children is a priceless job.
However, kids sometimes drive you mad.(*'‐'*)
So if you have a job and stay away from your children
for a while, you feel refreshed, I'm sure.
I once took a course "How to teach Japanese ".
I studied it about 10 months.
After that I changed my mind. I thought teaching was enough for me.
I should do something completely different.
Then I studied "Tourism " in New Zealand.
It was a good choice, I think.
I enjoy my life now.
Thanks for your e-mail.
Sorry it took me so long to reply.
I enjoy read your e-mail.
Kevin is a nice husband!
It's winter in Japan now.
My family is fine.
Chika of my granddaughter is fine, too.
She blows on the clarinet after school.
She is a memmber of the brass band.
I hope I am going to see you again at October this year.
Long time no see!
I have been a little busy these days. How are you??
I have used a frying pan since I god married. It has been 3years and became really old and useless. Too old and black! But I still use it. Finally, I bought a new one. It's really comfortable to use it.
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you earlier.
I've been busy at organaizing my next tour.
This time I'll bring 6 people into New Zealand.
My clients are mainly senior citizens.
One of the clients wants to stay and study in New Zealand for 3 months.
So I had to arrange his school and homestay in advance.
Now I have everything organized. I am relieved.
We are leaving on 1st of March. I am getting excited.
いしころさん、I also have lots of rubbish.
I must throw them away, but too difficult to decide " when" to do it.
How long have you been married? I have been married for 3 years. You and your husband seem to be happy and still ?? love each other!! I envy you. What's the secret?
夫婦円満の秘訣をぜひとも教えてください。よろしくです!
I'm expecting another NZ tour very soon. This time I bring 6 people into New Zealand. One of the clients wants to study English there for three months. So on the final day of my tour I'll drop him at the homestay where the school has already arranged.
Today I was busy at packing, but I've almost finished.
I'm leaving on 1st March so I won't be able to send you messages for a while.
Hi,ハンナさん!
I'm glad that you came back safe and had a good time in NZ. I have a friend there. Someday I'd love to go.
Guess what??
My husband got transfered to Vietnam!! So we will move there in June. According to the guide book, it'll be hot and humid in June. But I hope it'll be a good experience. Have you ever been there? If so, please let me know how it's like.
