Ｌｕｋｅは昨年のスコットランドでの屋外美術展で記録スタッフというかたちで参加していた方でした。

彼は実験音楽関係にも関心があります。10年くらい前には自主レーベルを起こしアナログのリリースをしていたそうです。彼自身もハネムーン･キラーズのようなバンドをやっていたとのこと。(そのＬＰの在庫はまだあるらしいです）
展示内容はで共に横浜、横須賀撮った映像がメインになるインスタレーションで「Composition fot flutter screen」という題になっています。

ファウラー：1978年グラスゴー生まれ。グラスゴー在住。
角田：1964年神奈川県生まれ。横浜市在住。

ファウラーは、スコットランドの新進映像作家。2008年に創設された、実験精神豊かな映像作家に与えられるジャーマン賞（母国の著名な映像作家である故デレク・ジャーマンにちなむ）の第1回大賞を受賞するなど、現在イギリスで最も注目される若手の一人。前衛作曲家コーネリアス・カーデュー（1936-81）や精神科医で思想家のR. D. レイン（1927-1989）ら、母国の反体制的な人物たちをモティーフに、残された映像や写真、言説、音楽を用いて、その人物像を再構築する映像作品などを発表。映画のもつ創作性と記録性とを止揚し、映像表現の更なる可能性を探求している。角田は、環境音をモティーフにした制作で知られるサウンドクリエイター。80年代後半より造形制作とフィールドレコーディングをはじめる。以降、小型マイクやコンタクト・マイクを用いたフィールドレコーディングを活動の中心に置き、海辺の音を超低周波で録音した一連の作品をはじめ、実験性の高いサウンド作品を発表し続けている。特に海外での評価は高く、サウンドアート系の展覧会に出品を重ねるほか、スウェーデン、オーストラリアなど各国のレーベルからCDをリリース。また、自らも発行に携わるフリーペーパー「三太」などを通じて、音と言葉をめぐる評論活動も行なっている。（MS）
Fowler is an up and coming young Scottish filmmaker. He is one of the most intently watched young men in England at present, having, for example, won the first Jarman Award (named after the late Derek Jarman, one of his country’s foremost filmmaker) which was established in 2008 with the intent of honoring richly experimentally minded filmmakers. He took as a motif the lives of two of his country’s antiestablishment figures, the avant-garde composer Cornelius Cardew (1936-1981) and the psychiatrist and thinker Ronald David Laing. Using film, photographs, remarks, and music from these men’s lives he produced films and other works to reconstruct their personal profile. He sublates the creative and recording aspects of movies, and tries to explore further possibilities for film expression. (MS/rw)
Tsunoda is a sound creator known for his using environmental sounds as a motif. From the late 1980s he began working in the plastic arts and doing field recordings. Subsequently he placed central emphasis on field recordings using small and contact microphone. He continued to produce highly experimental sound works, beginning with a series of works in which he recorded seashore sounds using ultra-low frequencies. He is particularly highly acclaimed abroad, frequently producing works for sound art exhibitions, and releasing CDs from various country’s labels including that of Sweden and Australia. Moreover, through the free paper Santa he publishes he is actively involved in critical work about sound and language. (MS/rw)
