英語で映画トークコミュのThe Prestige

The Prestige is out at the cinema.

It's set in the late 1890s London. Two magicians are on a wild goose chase to sabotage each other, who used to be friends, but one tragic accident caused them to be life long enemies.

It's suspense and a bit of fantasy. You will be amused because this film has many good twists.

But, it's really difficult to understand the details. You might have to watch it again on DVD that has special features like the directer's interviews.

The directer of the film is Christopher Nolan(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0634240/), who directed and screenplayed Memento. I watched Memento, but it was also difficult to understand the plot because it was too complicated. Maybe, I'm not so smart:P

The two magicians are played by Hugh Jackman as Robert Angier, Christian Bale as Alfred Borden. Scarlett Johansson plays a woman named Olivia Wenscombe. Olivia is in a relationship with both of them. Piper Perabo plays Angier's wife, Julia McCullough. In my opinion, Scarlett Johansson and Piper Perabo look like each other in this film and both of them are very pretty.
