英国が誇る The Sunday Times　コミュのオバマ大統領就任演説(Jan.2009)

少々遅くなりましたが、やはりオバマ大統領就任演説とそれにまつわる記事について書けたらと思ってトピックを作成します。

感動したところはいくつもありましたが、やはり一番具体的だった上の言葉に惹かれました。６０年前には黒人大統領が誕生することなど夢にも思えなかったはずで、でもアメリカという国がその歴史を経て現在あることを強く感じました。

「信頼」と「決意」その上にこそ国が依存できる。

It is the fire-fighter’s courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent’s willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.
友人が仕事を失うのを見ているのではなくて、自分の就業時間をカットする無私の心、消防士の勇気や子供を育てる親の気持ち、、、、オバマ氏は演説の中で、世界的な不況の時代にあって、私たち個人が何をすべきかを切々と訴えていました。
