I'm having some English Classes as a guest teacher at Grade Schools in Our School Area. I've finished 3 and will have 1 more class next Monday.
The class consists of a game of arranging Alphabet Cards, Spelling Guess Games and listening to the self-introduction of ALT from Canada.
They seem to be just for fun, but the main perpouse of the class is to emphasize the importance of learning Hepburn Style Ro-ma Ji.(ローマ字)
It is true Learning Ro-ma Ji is NOT learning English. But, they'll be able to learn some important elements of English literacy, mainly pronounciations of consonants.
I hope my class could inspire them to learn Roma-Ji before entering Junior High School and reduce difficulties in learning English at Junior High School.
