In English:
Your upstairs neighbour is playing loud music and has been for a few hours. It's now 10 pm and you have lost your patience! You don't want any bad feelings between them and you because you live in the same apartment building...but you need to say something! How would ask them to be quiet?

You are welcome to answer this in Japanese!

Hi I am living downstairs. Sorry to bother you but it is 10 o'clock. We are going to bed. Could you guys please be quiet down a bit. Thank you.
May I join your party? (with sleepy face) I can't sleep because you sounds fun!
HI! The guy who live in upstairs told me to be annoying because of your noise. He is so famous as a scary guy of this apartment! Take care!
Interesting! Here are some corrections...

Could you guys please *be more quiet*? (OK)
Could you guys please *quieten down* a bit? (OK)
'Quiet down' is not correct to my ears. It should be 'Quieten down' but this is British
English.
I am not sure, but I think American people might say 'Quiet down', but you cannot say
'...be quiet down...' in British or American English!

I can't sleep because *your party* sounds fun! (OK)
I can't sleep because *your party* sounds *like* fun! (OK)
I can't sleep because *it sounds like you are having too much* fun! (OK)
Also, you should say 'with *a* sleepy face' - Don't forget 'a' and 'the'!!!

The guy who *lives* upstairs (no 'in') told me *he is annoyed* because of your noise.
I am not sure about this sentence, I think this is what you mean. The scary guy is
annoyed right? The way you wrote it he is asking you to make your neighbours angry.
He is *really* famous as a scary guy *in* this apartment. ('so famous' is not correct.)
Let's not forget that you want your neighbours to like you! Your answers sound a little
bit dangerous to me!

I'm afraid you are *too* noisy. (OK)
I'm afraid you are *a little bit* noisy. (OK)
I'm afraid *your party is a bit* noisy. (OK)

Point: Students often think that 'so' = 'very'. This is not true! 'So' is similar to 'だから'
or '。。ので' in Japanese. If I just say 'ウルサイだから' it is a bit funny. If you say 'You are so noisy that I will call the police' it is OK.
'I'm afraid you are so noisy.' sounds non-native to me.

Here are some more ways!
- It's nice to hear people having fun but a lot of the people in this apartment have to get
up early for work in the morning, do you think you could bump down the volume a bit?
- I'm sorry to bother you, but could you keep it down a little bit, we are trying to get
some sleep.
- I hate to be a party pooper, but it's getting a bit late and my kids need to sleep,
would you mind keeping the noise to a minimum?
- You guys have great taste in music, I wish I could join you! You obviously know how to throw a good party, but it's past ten and I need my beauty sleep, is possible to turn it
down to a low rumble? (Perhaps this is where you were going with your answer
Natsuko)
