I'm Richard Roeper and coming right up to the next Colin Firth is the best actor favorite XXX work of his? The King's Speech. Does his performance live up to the hype? My review right now.
Colin Firth is so consistantly impressive on the big screen that we almost take his gift for granted, but The King's Speech first has kind of the showcase role that winds over audiences, critics and Academy voters. He XXX has the other than that? to take home all of the best actor's trophies for 2010 and he deserves all the エアカレーズ.
I have this to say. Ha ha ha ha....
Firth is a literally princeps man and a family man who never expects to become King, which is just fine by him because he has a terrible stammering problem that dates back to his early childhood.
But XXX what is near to older? brother XXX advocates? the throne and the prince becomes King George the 6 and with World War 2 looming, he must speak to the British people. They need him. After exhausting nearly every possible type of speech therapy, he reluctantly agrees to work with an unconventional teacher played by Geoffrey Rush.
Please don't do that. I'm sorry? I believe sucking smoke into your lungs would kill you. My physicians say XXX relaxes is ? fit. They're idiots. XX They are ? all denied? XXX Make sure if it's ? official then.
This unlikely pairing gives us the best buddy movie of 2010 as the elitist but good アーティド King and working class therapist become best friends.
Helena Bonham Carter does some her best work XXX as Elizabeth?, King George the 6's ever supportive wife. The screenplay XXX is filled with? XXX cracking going to? oneliners and Firth and Rush are XXX subline? together.
Get up XXX. Get up. Why not XXX this? chair ? That is Saint Edward's chair. People did carve the names? Listen to me. Listen to me. Why should I waste my time listening to you? XXX Gather? I have a voice? Yes, XXX sure you? do.
The King's Speech is one of the best movies of the year. I'll give it a solid A. I'm Ricahrd Roeper and you'll get all of my reviews at richardroeper.com and the real channel TVaboutmovies.
Lionel Logue: [as George "Berty" is lighting up a cigarette] Please don't do that.
King George VI: I'm sorry?
Lionel Logue: I believe sucking smoke into your lungs will kill you.
King George VI: My physicians say it relaxes the throat.
Lionel Logue: They're idiots.
King George VI: They've all been knighted.
Lionel Logue: Makes it official then.
it relaxes the throat.
been knighted
King George VI: [Sees Logue is sitting on the coronation throne] (What are you doing?) Get up! You can't sit there! GET UP!
Lionel Logue: Why not? It's a chair.
King George VI: (No, that. It is not a chair.) T-that... that is Saint Edward's chair.
Lionel Logue: People have carved their names on it.
King George VI: Listen to me. *Listen to me!*
Lionel Logue: Why should I waste my time listening?
King George VI: Because I have a right to be heard. I have a voice!
Lionel Logue: [pauses] Yes, you do.
Get up! You can't sit there!
Because I have a right to be heard.
I have a right to be heard.
