International Panel on Fissile Materials Fostering initiatives to reduce stocks and end the production and use of highly enriched uranium and plutonium
気候変動に対する提言を行っているのがIPCC(International Panel on Climate Change) 似た名前ですけどまったく違う組織です。
Hello, I am Japanese man Mikio Odawara. @MixkeyOdawara on twitter.
I have a strong interest in reducing the whereabouts of the nucleus of the international community.
I have checked the announcement of IPFM so often.
So I have a question.
Japan's stockpile has been removed from the list plutonium stockpile, what is the reason?
I remember, Japan's plutonium stockpile for civilian was 49.9 tons. Was there a change in it?
I have confidence in the announcement of the IPFM than the Japanese government announced.
Thank you for your efforts every day.
I hope for the future nuclear reduction and nuclear disarmament.
Japan was moved to the "Others" category, so its plutonium is in the 61 tonnes. In the most recent submission to IAEA, Japan declared 44.3 tonnes of Pu, of which 9.3 tonnes is in Japan. See this post: http://fissilematerials.org/blog/2012/10/japans_2011_civilian_plut.html.
I hope this helps. Feel free to let me know if you have more questions.
