深みを感じる英語の歌詞・詩コミュのこの歌詞に心を打たれました。

　はじめまして、こうへいです。U2のコミュから来ました！
僕はU2の数ある名歌詞の中でもSome Days Are Better Than Othersが究極の歌詞だと思います。
　意味的に、言葉の音の流れ的に、描写的に一つの詩として、物凄く美しいと思います。

　アメリカの大学での英文学の授業でのこと、この詩があんまり良いから、先生に紹介したところ。「すごく良い」と先生も喜んでいました。彼曰く、日本のHaiku的だそうです。確かに、言葉一つ一つには深い意味はあまり無く、あくまでも情景描写なのですが、全体として意味があるような感じです。言葉の運びもとっても美しいし！

SOME　DAYごり押しじゃん。笑

超有名な曲。普段なら『くっせぇ歌詞だなぁ。』って気にも留めないべたべたな失恋ソングだけど…。ちょっとだけ歌詞に注目したらとても好きになりました。

『Don't leave me alone』とか『Don't go away』とか直接言うのでなく、『Don't take my sunshine away.（太陽の輝きを奪わないで）』とワンクッションおいて敢えて少し遠回しに言うあたりがとても切なくていいです。
カリフォルニアの州歌にも採用された筈。日本の県民の歌でも市民の歌でも何でも、このぐらい堅苦しくなくウィットに富んだ歌詞を採用しないですかね…。やはりお国柄かな？

この歌詞で人生変わりました。

僕が心を打たれた歌詞はU2の「Original of the species」です。
最もU2の曲にはどれも心打たれてますが、この曲は最近特にお気に入りです。

この歌詞に痛烈に感動します。
なんか、普遍的な強さをもった表現のように感じます。
「君という存在は君しかいないんだ」ということ。
自分の心に深〜く染み渡りました。
