スペイン・カンタブリア大学で教鞭をとり、同国の音楽・芸術・科学アカデミー賞にて最優秀アレンジャーにノミネートされたピアニストアントニオ・ガマサが来日。チック・コリアとも親交があり、スペインの変拍子、フラメンコ、ケルト、コプラなどの民族的要素を取り入れた瑞々しく美しいオリジナル曲は、国際的な評価を受けています。今回の来日公演は、サックス奏者・作曲家の旧橋壮とのコラボレーションにより実現。

Pianist Antonio Gamasa, who teaches at the University of Cantabria in Spain and was nominated for Best Arranger at the Spanish Academy of Music, Arts and Sciences, is coming to Japan. He is also friends with Chick Corea, and his fresh and beautiful original songs, which incorporate Spanish irregular time signatures, flamenco, Celtic, copla and other ethnic elements, have received international acclaim. This Japan tour was made possible through a collaboration with saxophonist and composer TsuyoshiFuruhashi.
