I'm certainly not a poet or a writer, but I am a fan of good lyrics.
One in particular, Lose Yourself by Eminem, is great. The entire concept of having one chance to do it right, and having to take that chance "cuz it may be the only opportunity that I got" rings true with me.
Of course, there are many opportunities in life, but to treat each priority as if it were the only chance you had for success is the bare minimum of what is required to compete in any effort where there are many others attempting to do the same thing.
Whether it's becoming famous as a rapper, succeeding in a particular business objective, succeeding in sports or other activities, and also whether you are competing against others or just yourself, that sense of needing to focus, be forceful, having determination through rough times is powerful to me.
There are other great songs/lyrics out there, in all genres (even country music), but I find myself coming back to this song because of the lyrics often.
Yeah, that is a good song, lyrically, but I got kind of tired of it after it got overplayed. The first verse is good, though. But for Eminem, I prefer "The Way I Am". He is insanely flawless on that song. The anger, the rhymes...great stuff.
