It’s a feeling. It’s a feeling. What you did to your foot (referring to someone’s injured foot), that’s kind of sensual, kind of crazy, but … (laughter)
Humans have tried to cut that off. Human angels have tried to cut that off. Why?
Well, perhaps they feel addicted to it or overwhelmed by it.
But when you get to this point in your journey, you can take a deep breath.
In the state of ahmyo, grace, you don’t have to be worried now about it overwhelming you - the experiences and the feelings and the day-to-day activities and food and dancing and sex and passion.
You see, humans have kind of … they’ve cut that off, or they’ve restricted the flow, thinking that that’s what’s wrong.
They’ve been told that’s what’s wrong.
They’ve gotten into the brain - “I can’t eat foods anymore, except the ones I really don’t like. I can’t enjoy drinking a glass of wine, because I might have been a boozer in the past.” You’re not going to be now.
“I can’t really enjoy the sexual part of me, because I was told by the nuns that was bad to have those kind of impure and I’ll grow hair all over my hands.”
So take a deep breath with that, you sensual pirates, you. (audience responds “Aargh! Aargh!”) Aargh. Actually, it’s more like a-a-rgh-h. (in a sexy voice; laughter) That’s a sensual pirate. A-a-argh-h. Can you do it? (audience responds, “A-a-argh-h”)
Oh no, sexy. I want sexy today! (audience repeats it) You sound like a flat tire on an old car. (laughter) Let’s try it together. I’ll give you an example. Actually, Linda will give you an example.
Ah! Ahhh! (audience approval and applause) Okay, can you do that? (audience repeats “A-a-argh”) You’re still holding back. You’re still like, “I can’t be too sensual, because then I become overly sexual or overly human.”
You’re going to get addicted. So you keep sensual to an absolute minimum.
That’s not good for you. That’s not at all. No, and it really … it tightens up your energy. It tightens up your sphincter. (laughter) And then it just isn’t fun anymore.
You don’t grasp onto new practices of whether it’s chanting or praying or crystal worshipping or any of that.
You’ve done that. You don’t sequester yourself in a monastery. You’ve done that. You don’t go sitting on an island somewhere for 62 years by yourself thinking you’re going to find God.
Discipline restricts energies. It’s fun to learn, but once you learn it, let it go. Discipline is a way of putting yourself on the cross, a little suffering.
