こんにちは。

素晴らしい思い出に溢れた日本ツアーから、地元マサチューセッツ州のノーサンプトンに帰ってきました。 73歳から88歳、24人のコーラス隊を連れて、遥か遠いところから旅に出ることには不安もありましたが、日本での滞在では多くの皆さんお世話になり、心から感謝しています。

国会コーラス愛好会、鳩山総理夫人らと一緒に歌った「聖者の行進」、京都観光中に立ち寄った嵐山の竹林、高齢者施設への訪問、そして名古屋名物の「世界の山ちゃん」など、忘れられない思い出がいっぱいです。日本の劇場、コンサートを支えてくれたスタッフの皆さんはもちろん、何よりもコンサートに来てくださったお客さまに、暖かく見守られながら公演を行うことができたことを嬉しく思っています。

私たちは、また戻ってきます。

そのときは、新しい日本のロックナンバーも歌っちゃいます！皆さんからのご意見もぜひまたお聞かせください。それでは、またお会いできるその日まで！

Hello,

We are now back home in Northampton, MA and filled with amazing memories of our trip to Japan. We were nervous about bringing 24 people between the ages of 73 and 88 such a long distance. We were lucky to be in the capable hands of Promax, Inc. Their team did everything right. They made us feel comfortable and at home in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, and Nagoya. Their generosity was extraordinary. We will always remember singing "Oh When the Saints" with the singers of the Japanese Diet along with the First Lady and the former Prime Minister; The Bamboo Forest in Kyoto; Yamachan's in Nagoya and our visit to a nursing home outside of Nagoya. The theaters and Japanese tech crew were the finest we have ever encountered, but most of all it was the Japanese audiences that created an irresistible warmth that made performing so much fun. We will be back. We'll learn 3 new tunes in Japanese. Send us some ideas and we will see you again soon.
