October already! The weather has been very changeable these past few days. Iwakura, where I live, tends to be a bit colder than the rest of Kyoto city, so I had to get my hanten jacket out of the cupboard at the week-end.
I noticed on Saturday that I still had a half-eaten packet of somen noodles in the cupboard, and I decided that, if I didn't eat them soon, there wouldn't be another opportunity.
Now somen noodles are great to eat during the summer, but Saturday was a bit of a miserable day, and I have to say that those cold wet noodles didn't really taste so great.
Summer is definitely over. I'm looking forward to cooking oden in the next few days.
Thanks, くんみ. I suppose I had a failure of imagination, because I didn't think some could be hot. I assumed that they would disintegrate if I put them in hot soup. Thanks for the tip!
