デンマーク大使館の方から、5月に大きな自転車イベントを開催するとのご連絡をいただいたので紹介いたします。

京都からコペンハーゲンへ、日本からデンマークへ、
届けよう地球温暖化防止のメッセージを！
「京都議定書」により日本も重要な役割を果たした地球温暖化防止条約（気候変動に関する国際連合枠組条約）の節目となる第15回締約国会議（COP15）が今年、デンマークの首都コペンハーゲンで開催されます。
京都議定書が議決された１９９７年の第３回締約国会議（COP3）から１１年間、地球環境の変化はさらに進行し、それに伴い温暖化問題に対する世界の意識も大きく変化しました。
日本でもより多くの皆様に環境・温暖化問題と、この会議（COP15）をアピールするため、フランツ＝ミカエル・スキョル・メルビン駐日デンマーク大使が5月23日（土）から、市民とともに日本全国９都道府県を自転車で走るエコサイクリング「COP15 CYCLING TOUR」を、来る５月２3日（金）より実施いたします。
◆東京 日程：5月23日 距離：5km〜20km
23各区役所スタート、都内サイクリングを実施。最後に神宮外苑広場でイベント開催。
◆安城 日程：5月24日 距離：約30km
豊田市からスタート、安城市役所を経てデンパークでイベント開催。
◆福島 日程：5月25日 距離：約30km
デンマークのNovo Nordisk社工場からスタートし、あづま総合公園、小鳥の森、花見山公園、あづま総合公園までのコース。あづま総合公園でイベント開催。
◆札幌 日程：5月26日 距離：27〜48km
各区役所スタート、市役所を経て市内サイクリング。大通公園でイベント開催。
◆宮崎 日程：5月28日 距離：約25km
県庁から市内サイクリング。大淀川河川敷広場でイベント開催。
◆広島 日程：5月29日 距離：30km
県庁、市庁、アンデルセン店舗からスタートしロングライド。イベント開催（会場未定）。
◆今治 日程：5月30日 距離：約32km
今治市ＣＴからスタート、しまなみ海道、今治市庁舎を経て今治城公園でイベント開始。
◆和歌山 日程：5月31日 午前 距離：18〜48km
砂の丸公園からスタート、和歌山市内サイクリング。砂の丸公園でイベント開催。
◆京都 日程：5月31日 午後 距離：15〜50km
市役所スタートスタート、市内サイクリング。市役所前広場でイベント開催。

The COP15 Cycling Tour May 23 to May 31 2009The COP15 Cycling Tour carries a message of sustainability and responsibility for the environment. Cycling is friendly to the environment and participation in this tour highlights your personal efforts and support to combat climate change.
We wish to carry this message from Kyoto to Copenhagen; from the framework of the Kyoto Protocol to a new framework to be established at the COP15 – United Nations Climate Change Conference – in Copenhagen. The COP15 Cycling Tour is organized by the Embassy of Denmark, Tokyo and the Japan Cycling Association, and takes place at the following 8 locations:
* Tokyo, May 23rd
* Anjo City, May 24th
* Fukushima, May 25th
* Sapporo, May 26th
* Miyazaki, May 28th
* Hiroshima, May 29th
* Imabari/Shimanami, May 30th
* Wakayama/Kyoto, May 31st
* Copenhagen, June 14th
At each location there will be events and exhibitions focusing on cycling, sustainable development and climate change.
Carbon Neutral
We aim to make the whole Cycling Tour carbon neutral. To help us we have formed a partnership with E-Square Inc., which specializes in carbon neutral events. E-Square will calculate the CO2 produced during the COP15 Cycling Tour and the Embassy plan to invest in Certified Emission Reduction projects to offset the amount of CO2 produced.
