You are asked to see a 30-year old female with one-month history of nausea and frequent loose stools. Because of these symptoms she saw another internist several days ago who ordered stool studies including ova & parasite and stool cultures in addition to blood tests such as hepatitis panel. These test results were said to be normal, but the details of test items are not known.
She also complains of easy fatigability, palpitations, heart burn and mild abdominal discomfort but still has an appetite despite having nausea.
