今WordNetというソフトを使ったり勉強したりします。WordNetは英語の類語辞典だけじゃなくて、単語と単語の色々な関係のデータベースです。 I've been using/studying WordNet recently. It is a bit like a thesaurus (i.e. giving synonyms) but goes further in also saying what categories a word is in (e.g. "horse" is an "animal") and what things a thing is made up of (e.g. "car" is made up of "wheel", "windscreen", etc.)
Does anyone know of a similar project in Japanese? Or a freely available thesaurus? If you are interested in this topic, please let me know, or if you know someone working in this field I'd very much appreciate an introduction.
P.S. I know of the Jim Breen's dictionary project, but that does not have a thesarus.
Thanks Mr.A.

BTW, both have English versions:

The above URL is showing using EDict to translate WordNet. But I couldn't see anything to download nor a positive conclusion. I didn't mention above but this is also what I'm doing at the moment, and it is giving undesirable results (to put it politely :-).
