MRRPANさん>コメント有り難うございます。日本はオーストラリアの鉱山資源の最大輸出国ですからね。アルミニウムやマンガンなど、Arnhem land から日本に入ってくるものはYirdakiだけではないということ、そしてそれらに関わる土地権利の問題が現地では今とても深刻になっているということを知らない方は結構多いのではないかと思います。映像の最後の方ではDjaluも出て来ていますね。こんな番組、日本でもやったら良いのにな〜と思いながら訳しました。

Every time a government changes new direction, another party gets thin, more changes... of this ?????. but in Aboriginal law, Aboriginal custom, Aboriginal law , it has always been right from a creation, right from the beginning of time, our low never changes. our secret ceremonies, our cultural ceremonies never changes and a... there are now two or three parties rising to get on top of one another. so we got the stick on to older people and keep it that way...
You go back and look the photo of the old aboriginal people. they are very very healthy people. but when white man come and they teach us, you have to live like we are. but we would like to go and know why but they said NO you come and follow us.
Aboriginal people eat always fresh bush food and a seafood. next morning we go at ??? more, fresh. now, Balanda come and teach us you get yourself of fridge?? later. deep freezer so you can save your food in. that's not a way because it's bad for our health. that's why we aboriginal people sick now. big coming, big fat fella. before we are tall brother and healthy but now we getting shorter and big man and little bone. and early days we don't have a sickness but now we suffering to death because of the food and staffs that we eat.
Main problem we have in the yolngu community is trying to working with the government body's policies. they give the funding for certain projects and along with that is their own policies in which how they were do,spend the money. but a... somehow it doesn't fit into our way of life. then they start to get the feeling or the idea that our old men, old ladies, people sitting around a camps are too lazy to work but they are not too lazy. they always hard at work. it's because most of the traditional leaders, their cultural leaders. and try to control yolngu community, try to control the yolngu way of life.
Industry can keep going, progress can keep going... culture is fragile.
When we both discovery each other, we, Aboriginal people get to know the white men's way of life and white men way of life get to know us, these things will fall into place. it's just a mystery in the middle.
We could make it other way people as a good friend, not a friend for one day, not a friend for two days or one week. we will have laugh, flowing all swear love until we finish in this world. that's the love should be for the all people in a world and that's how we feel about... Yo.... thank you!!
