1968年以後のテムプスのストリート感覚が先取りしてたので
面白くない。
例外は、Big Daddy Kaneたちの、セクシーなやつ。
今日はストリートのテムプスのカッコいいやつを紹介しようね。
1973年、今から32年前のストリートと現在とどこがどう変ってるの？
そんな気がする。60年代の公民権運動も何もどこへいったのか？
New Orleansの事件、そしてDeep Southを旅した知り合いの話、
Detroit近辺で暮らした人の話、僕が見たLAダウンタウンの裏側、
全てが何も変っていないことを証明していると思う。

私も、実はラップは、さほど感動を覚えません。何故なんでしょうか。自分でもよくわかりません‥。Rapper's Delight あたりが、ちょうどよいです。（笑）あの頃や、RUN DMCの御気楽ラップあたりが、ぎりぎりです。＞ふるいー（汗）
社会的な何かを、訴えたいとき、ＲＡＰで伝わる人もいるし、そうでない人もいます。
どちらが、よいとか別に比べる事もしません。みんな人それぞれ感覚が違いますもんね。
そういう意味では、私は古い人間かもしれません。（笑）
ＳＴＲＥＥＴなソングですが、ＢＯＢＢＹのＡＣＲＯＳＳ〜を取上げましたけど、このMasterPieceも、好きです。

大きく変わった事は、銃がもっと蔓延ったことと、ギャングの低年齢化くらいでしょうか‥。あと、派手なピンプは見なくなったかも。（笑）
でも、根本的なところは変わっていないですよね。こういう歌で、表現しなくなって行った所、ＲＡＰ手法（！）で表現するようになった、のでしょうね、近年は。
ＣＵＲＴＩＳのストリートＳＯＮＧでも、Freddie's Dead他、彼の硬派な曲はたまりません。体がじぃん、と来ます。彼が活躍した時代が、時代が時代だけに、その言葉ひとつひとつが、切実だったのだろうなぁ‥と想像します。わたしのような、アマちゃんには、想像の域を超えられませんケド。はぁ‥。
ということで、もう１曲。

ユダヤ人が牛耳っているのは紛れもない事実だと思いますが
そんな中で、泉山女史が書いてますが、80年代の終盤の
Public Enemyのメムバーだった、Professor Griffの発言、
それが反ユダヤと認識されたあとから、飼い慣らされた感じします。
要は真のアンダーグランドな叫びを感じないというか
様式美の世界に入っている、そんな感じがします。
Eminemにしてもすべて、大衆の不平不満を半ば自嘲的に代弁させ、
もしくは独白させて、観衆は喜ぶ、その構図を企画した誰かがいる、
そんな印象しかないです。
テムプスでたどってみると1969年頃からの歌詞で提起していた事が
その後も30年以上叫ばれ続けているというの何とも寂しいかもしれません。
