Dear President,

The World Draughts Federation FMJD has the honour to inform you that the World Championship Juniors 2009 has been allotted to the Belarus Draughts Federation. It will be held in VITEBSK from 20 to 27 August 2009. The main responsable of the organization is Mrs. Iryna Pashkevich.
Every national federation has the right to present three junior players. I remind that they have to be less than 20 years old on 31 December 2009. The first player will be taken in charge by the organization committee. The next players will be taken in charge by their federations.
The price of the hotel with 3 meals will be 21 € (Euros) per day for the second and third players, and also for coaches, trainers, accompany.
All travelling-expenses and visa costs will be for the sending federations.
The cost of transfer Minsk <> Vitebsk is expected to be in total 35 € .
The enrolment fee amounts to 45 € per player for federations who have paid (or will pay) for 2009 the normal annual fee of 390 € ; and to 70 € per player for federations who have paid (or will pay) for 2009 the reduced annual fee of 160 € .
The limit date for enrolments is fixed to the 10th of July 2009.

草場ＪＣＤＡ事務局長から、出場する代表選手にわずかですが支援金がでるとのことです

With this e-mail the board of the FMJD wants to inform you about the World Championship international draughts (100 squares).
This tournament will be held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil from October 18 to November 11, 2009. (semi final from October 18 to 31, finals from Novembr 1 to November 10).
There will not be a qualification tournament organised by the Asian Draughts Confederation.
That is why the Executive Board of the FMJD has decided that 6 federations will have the right to participate with one player in this World Championship.

To be able to participate the national federation should have paid the FMJD membership fee for the years 2008 and 2009 (for the new federations only 2009).
The registration fee for the participants is 180 euro for the countries who pay a FMJD membership fee of 160 euro and 90 euro for the countries who pay the full FMJD membership fee of 390 euro.
The conditions are still being discussed with the draughts federation of Brazil.
The normal conditions for participating in the World Championship are that the federation pays for the ticket of the player and the organising federation pays for the stay (hotel and meals) in Brazil.

Please inform the FMJD if a player of your federation will be participating in Brazil before July 15, and inform the FMJD about the name of your player before July 31, 2009.
If we did not hear from you before the end of July we assume that there will not be a player from your federation participating in the World Championship.

ブラジルで開催なので、当然ドラフツ６４（ブラジルルール）と思っていたら、draughts１００なのですね。
世界の競合が集い、じっくりと時間をかけて戦うのでしょう。引き分けは持ち時間を短縮して再試合。
北京でも、決勝延長戦は時計の叩きあいがみられました。

先日の日本チャンピオン決定戦棋譜が一局とれました。後ほど印刷して会員へ配付されます。
日本の記録をＦＭＪＤへ送ってみたいものです。
日本ではとかくもち時間が短いので、棋譜がなかなか残りませんが、プレーヤーが自身で記録するのは、世界の常識です。
