度々、恐縮ですが、今日からは、"CONFECTION"が聴けます。以下、nelsのmyspaceのブログより。

CONFECTION is perhaps, as its title suggests, a bit of a trifle.
Written quite at the last minute, it falls in with my penchant for
"instrumental hit"-style writing, and is really just an excuse to
rock out. Note nod to Deerhoof. Enjoy!

この１週間は、"THE ANGEL OF ANGELS"が聴けます。

THE ANGEL OF ANGELS is dedicated to the wonderful painter Angela DeCristofaro, whose art graces the package of DRAW BREATH. And indeed, the woman is an angel! This is sort of a "pop" - type song with no actual "blowing", and had been lurking around for a couple of years or more. I actually tried to give the song to some noted songwriter faves of mine, but I was so precious about them not changing it that they couldn't get next to it! Anyway, I finally said to hell with it and tried it with Devin and Scott. Like "Caved-In Heart Blues", this is rather "produced", in that there are some overdubs. I just wanted it to be beautiful.

１週間限りではなく、どうやら"The Angel of Angels"で打ち止めのようですね。ま、リリース前に９曲中の４曲もフルに聴けちゃっているわけで、それ以上を期待するほうがおかしいか（笑）。"Caved-In Heart Blues" "Confection" "Mixed Message"の３曲は、クリプトのサイトで（フラッシュでもＨＴＭＬでも）、普通にじっくり聴くことが可能ですね。
Portable Universe での変人ぶり（笑）が印象的なDavid Withamの新作"Spinning The Circle"も、同じタイミングでリリースされるようで。こちらも、クリプトのサイトや、David Withamのmyspace（http://www.myspace.com/davidwitham）で、３曲聴くことが可能です。いかにも西海岸っぽい感じ？（西海岸行ったことないんですが…）。それにしても、Witham氏、相当なネオン好きなんですねぇ。
