創造物と堕落
When God made the heavens and the Earth, they must have been beautiful, perfect, and pure.
神が天と地を造られた時、天も地も美しく、完璧で、清らかだったに違いありません。
In the Garden of Eden, however, through a denial of the Word of God and through a deception of the woman, our first parents fell. Eve was deceived, but Adam chose to die by the side of the woman whom God had created and placed in his arms. When the Lord came to visit the man and his wife in the cool of the day, He could not find them. The;y were afraid an hid themselves from the Lord because they were naked and ashamed. To hide their gtuilt, they made for themselves aprons of fig leaves, but when God looked upon the covering, He said, "This will not do." Covering for sin(atonement for sin)cannot be woven by human hands. Therefore, somewhere in the Garden of Eden, the Lord took an innocent animal, and before the eyes of Eve and Adam, God slew that innocent animal as the ground drank up its blood. This is the beginning of "The Scarlet Thread of Redemption." Through the slaughter of an innocent victim, God took coats of skin and covered over the shame and the nakedness of the man and his wife. This is the first sacrifice, and it was offered by the hand of Almighty God. When Adam saw the gasping, spent life of that innocent creature, and when he saw the crimson stain thich soiled the ground, it was his first experience of knowing what it meant to die because of sin. So the story of atonement and sacrifice begins and unfolds throughout the Word of God until finnally in glory we shall see great throngs of the saints who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. This is "The Scarlet Thread of Redemption."
しかし、エデンの園で、女を騙し、神の言葉を否定することを通して、私たちの最初の二親は罪を犯しました。エバは騙されましたが、アダムは、神が造られた、アダムの腕におかれた女の側につくことで、死を選んでしまったのです。日の涼しい頃、神が人とその妻のところへ降りてこられたとき、神はかれらを見出せませんでした。彼らは、神を恐れて、自分たちが裸であり、恥ずかしいと思ったので、神から隠れていたのです。罪を隠すために、いちじくの葉をつづり合わせて腰にまきました。しかし神がその覆いものをご覧になったとき、”これはしない。”罪のための覆い（罪の償い）は、人の手によって編めるものではない。故に、エデンの園のどこかから、神は汚れのない動物をアダムとエバの目の前に連れてこられました。そして、神は、地が、その汚れない動物の血を飲むように屠られました。これが、”緋色の糸の贖い”の始まりです。汚れない犠牲を屠って、神は、皮の着物を造り、恥ずかしさと裸の二人に着せられたのです。これは、全能の神のみ手によって捧げられた、最初の犠牲です。アダムは、汚れのない創造物の命が費やされ、その動物の喘ぎを見、深紅色に染まった地を見た時、それは、罪によって死ぬという意味を知る始めての経験となりました。このように、犠牲と償いの話がはじまり、彼らの衣を子羊の血で白く洗った大勢の聖なるものを、栄光のうちに、最終的に私たちが見るまで、神の言葉は全て開かれてゆくのです。これが、”緋色の糸の贖い”なのです。
