Episode 1: Floating Cloud

It was raining when I saw my boyfriend through the fogged window of a Starbucks in Tokyo. It had been about three years since we began seeing each other. He had long hair and was tall. He was popular among friends. Made a good living... an ideal man.

As he turned around the corner, across the light, walking toward me, I thought to myself... what the fuck.

It was about the time. I needed to think about myself and future. It was fun and felt so free but it had to come to an end, to start a new beginning.

I owed him. He helped me leave the world I used to belong to --- a shameful place in my past.

But, now, while l loved him still, I had to move on. Or else, my life would have been about repaying, lost time, and things that are negative in my life.

I want to use this blog to record my departure, journey, and new discoveries...

My heart hurts still, but I am determined..

The cloud was floating away with the rain when I kissed him for the last time. We went on to separate ways...

Who knows, I might bump into him again. I might meet someone new. I might meet you. But, for now, I will just afloat like the floating cloud with tears in my soul.

Episode 2: Dreams of Love Hotel District in Shibuya

Those who have visited Japan may have noticed that there are so many street signs and magazines on public display expose sexually oriented materials. Kids and seniors alike walk by them without even thinking about them --- well, even though they know what they are about, they just accept them as part of street scenes.

I was one of them. Or, perhaps, you can say I am and do more than that.

My job as a stockfoto model provides such photographs that can be used for anything including such sexual advertisments on streets or websites.

They change faces, parts of my bodies, colors, shapes, whatever, to serve their needs.

The job pays "okay" and keeps me off the worse thigns.

The other day, walking down on the narrow streets of Shibuya's sex district where lots of so-called "Love Hotels" are, I saw a few of my old friends still serving men, checking into/out of these hotels pretending like they are real couples.

One of them introduced me to this stock-photo gig, in fact. I don't see her anymore. Last time I heard, she met some guy, one of her regular clients, and got out of the business for good hoping to marry him. The guy was married at the time.

I don't know what happen to her. Hope she got settled as she used to dream about meeting and getting married with a normal guy, a salary man even.

Of all the dreams one can have, getting married is one of the most popular things in Love Hotel District in Shibuya.

As for me ... well, that's more than enogh for one day.
