Hello!
My name is Cristhian and i'm a brazilian guy
i have been in japan for about 9 years now
but i really don't have master japanese yet
but on my studies i have found some tricks

i send this to peter once !he said it was cool and ask me to post on the blog what i haven't yet

anyway

my theory is some primaries kanjis as i call them
pass they reading for similars

as i think the radical is the key hint for the meaning
the buhin part is the key hint for the reading
ei. 中 read なかちゅう right?
now see this 仲　なか忠ちゅう　沖ちゅう
see?
another one けん
検険倹験 all read ken
another てき
敵適滴摘嫡 ...
one more そく
則測側
so!
what i'm tryng to say is when looking for one kanji that you don't know don't panic

but sure it doesn't work with all kanjis
but if you are taking jlpt and really don't know the right one
the probability of sucess is greater if you try this trick

also if you have a cell phone with dictionary function this will come handy!

ただしせいしょう
if i know 保 and don't know the other i just type my options and
scroll down and find しょう証
and if you are looking in a kanji dictionary try the reading index
