ビールについて英語で語ろうコミュのBeer Bars

Do you know of any good beer bars in Tokyo? I am looking for a bar that has a lot of European or local beers. I am especially hoping to find a place near Shibuya or Shinjuku (where I live and work). Let me know!

I have been to RYOUGOKU BEER STATION in Ryougoku.
I can not recomend well,but If you would like to try to drink some local beers,and try to eat Chankonabe,I 'd recomend to make a topic.

This beer place serves 3kinds of local (or original) beers and CHANKONABE or the traditional food for sumo wrestlers.

Thanks for the good advice. I will look for Dining Bar Artema. It sounds really good. Because I live in Hatsudai, it will probably be okay for me to miss the last train (I can go by bicycle or taxi)! What are some of the names of their drinks? Maybe I can learn some Japanese humor!

I went to Ryogouku beer station once and enjoyed their beers. I tried a glass (or two) of each kind. However, I went by myself and was surprised to find that everybody was in big groups. The ceiling was so high that I felt kind of lonely... It would be a great place to drink with a group of beer-loving friends.

聞き耳＞Thanks for the infomation about ARTEMA.
I will remember for an off line meeting.

As Seth said,Ryougoku beer station was a good place in case of haveing a party with beer-loving friends.
I went there as an off line meeting on an another site.
We enjoyed not only beers but also some kinds of chankonabes.
If I had eaten a chankonabe by myself,I felt lonely,so I agree that Ryougoku beer stasion will be a great place to drink with friends or a group.

I would like more infomations about good beer place.

I’d like to inform you ‘The Popeye’ that is famous beer pub in Japan.
I think some of you might know already it….

Anyway, my advice doesn’t completely encompass information that you want.
Because this place is a little far from Shibuya and Shinjuku,
however I can really recommend you this pub. I'm sure you'd love it.

Tom-san, thanks for the link. Popeye sounds great! It even has beers from McMenamin's (in Portland, Oregon) such as 'hammerhead.' I am excited to go. Because of the Sobu-line, Ryogoku is not too far for me to travel.

Actually, nowhere is too far to travel for good beer!

聞き耳-san, I still have not been to Artema, but I hope to go very soon. I think my work schedule will be better in October, which, according to many people in Europe is the best time of the year to drink beer!
