ビールについて英語で語ろうコミュのLion Stout (from Sri Lanka)

I had heard about Lion Stout from a friend. He said that it was the best stout he had ever had. I didn't believe him because he wasn't British and also because he said Lion Stout was from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka? Most Asian beers are light-weight lagers, right?

Recently, at a Sri Lankan restaurant in Shinjuku, I finally tried the Lion Stout... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Lion Stout is dark and creamy with a slightly sweet, almost chocolate taste. WOW!

I highly recommend LION STOUT!

It's really great!
I drunk that at KOKURIKO at Kashiwa.
There are really various beers!!!
I heard that there are more than 100 kinds of beers.
If you have any chance to go to Kashiwa, please drop at KOKURIKO!

Thanks for the great link! I really enjoyed the article. I wonder if Lion still brews their beer in such a dramatic location. Until I read Michael Jackson's article, I had never heard the term "tropical stout." You have to try this beer!

I am glad to find another fan of Lion Stout! I wish I would have known about KOKURIKO when I lived in Chiba. Now it is so far away... maybe I will go there sometime.

In the article that Ace-A-san posted, it mentioned that Lion Stout is best with Sri Lankan food. I completely agree! I highly recommend the Sri Lankan restaurant I visited called 'Court Lodge' on Koshu Kaido in Shinjuku. It is only a couple minutes walk from the station. Lion Stout is reasonably priced there (for a restaurant) at 600 yen a bottle.

I was mistaken. Lion Stout is only 580 yen a bottle at Court Lodge. Please check it out (drink it up)!
