マニエリスムコミュの美術館情報

怠け者ここに極まれり、５年近くご無沙汰してました。スイマセン。

久々に書き込むにあたり、トップのテキストを書き換えてみました。先日仕事でドイツに行った折、空いている時間にフランクフルトのシュテーデル美術館（恥ずかしながら知りませんでした）を訪れてみました。ドイツの美術館は比較的マニエリスムの作品が充実しており、以前訪れたミュンヘンのアルテ・ピナコテーク同様、マニエリスムを一時代の流れとして認識し、展示を行っていたのが印象的でした。

そして、マニエリスムの部屋に以下の時代背景の解説があったので、翻訳（意訳と言った方が正しいか）し、マニエリスムコミュのトップにアップしてみたわけです。

From ideal to individuality

Rome,Florence, Milan and Venice were the leading centres of the Italian High Renaissance. The town sovereigns - whether the popes, the Medici, the Sforza or the doges - competed to enlist the most famous artists of their time. Yet the latter also kept a watchful eye on one another, endeavouring to surpass their rivals' work with their own. The pre-1500 generations of artists had successfully applied themselves to the study of nature and antiquity, perspective, anatomy and the secrets of oil painting, a technique newly developed by their Netherlandish colleagues. On this basis, the leading painters of the early sixteenth century - first and foremost Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael - attained an unprecedented degree of perfection and ideal beauty in their works. Yet no sooner had the long-endeavoured balance between outer form and inner expression been achieved than artists sought to overcome it. The focus now turned increasingly to expressiveness and individuality, leading to the emergence of a new style that is already discernible in Michelangelo's oeuvre as well as the late work of Raphael. Even the artist's personal manner of painterly execution became a trademark in this context - and gave the entire stylistic current its name: Mannerism.
