出没年不詳、宮廷歌人として持統、天武天皇に仕える、三十六歌仙の一人、詳細は伝記は不明

Kakinomoto no Hitomaro
The dates of Kakinomoto no Hitomaro's birth and death are unknown. He served as a court poet under Emperor Tenmu and Empress Jitō. He is regarded as one of the Thirty-six Immortal Poets (Sanjūrokkasen), although many details of his life remain unknown.
