小野篁、Ono no Takamura

「わたの原
　　　　　八十島かけて漕ぎ出でぬと
　人には告げよあまの釣舟」

"Fishing boats upon the sea,
tell whoever asks
that I have sailed away
out past countless islets
to the vast ocean beyond."

小野篁
802-852、従三位参議に至る、漢詩文にすぐれたが、一時隠岐島に流刑になった。

Ono no Takamura
Ono no Takamura (802–852) rose to the rank of Junior Third Rank (Jusanmi) and Councillor (Sangi). He was highly accomplished in Chinese poetry and prose, but was once exiled to Oki Island.
